''Acraea oreas'', the Black-and-white Acraea, is a butterfly in the Nymphalidae family. It is found in Nigeria, Cameroon, Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Sudan, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Kenya, Tanzania and Zambia.〔(Afrotropical Butterflies: Nymphalidae - Tribe Acraeini )〕 The habitat consists of mountainous areas at altitudes between 1,300 and 2,000 metres. Adults are attracted to damp patches, excrement and rotten meat.
